Full-Time Program Grid:
The full-time Nonprofit/NGO Leadership Program consists of two (2) semesters of course work and a Leadership Practicum. Students take five (5) courses in both the fall and spring semesters for a total of ten courses. Each student takes five (5) required core courses, two of three core options and three (3) electives.

Fall Semester:
- NPLD 786 Nonprofits in a Changing World (required core course)
- NPLD 787 Leadership for the New Economy (required core course)
- NPLD 788 Envisioning & Realizing Possibilities (required core course)
- NPLD 790 Accounting for Asset Development (required core course)
- NPLD 785 Group Dynamics & Organizational Politics (core option) or an Elective
Spring Semester:
- NPLD 792 Transformational Reasoning (required core course)
- NPLD 795 Applied Leadership Workshops Series A (core option) and/or NPLD 796 Applied Leadership Workshops Series B (core option)
- Two or three Electives
NOTES:
The five (5) required core courses are NPLD 786; NPLD 787; NPLD 788; NPLD 790; and NPLD 792. The three (3) core options are NPLD 785; NPLD 795; and NPLD 796.
Some courses may be offered all day Friday/Saturday and or Saturday/Sunday for a portion of the semester.
Part-Time Program Grid:
Two and a Half Year Configuration
The part-time Nonprofit/NGO Leadership Program includes five (5) semesters of course work. Students take two (2) courses each semester for five (5) semesters for a total of ten courses over 2½ academic years. Each student takes five (5) required core courses, two of three core options, and three electives. The electives are taken during the later part of the program. In the summer after year 1, students will participate in a Leadership Practicum developed specifically for part-time professionals to enhance their leadership training and professional development.
YEAR 1
Fall Semester:
- NPLD 787 Leadership for the New Economy (required core course)
- One of the following required core courses:
NPLD 786 Nonprofits in a Changing World; or
NPLD 788 Envisioning & Realizing Possibilities; or
NPLD 790 Accounting for Asset Development
Spring Semester:
- NPLD 792 Transformational Reasoning (required core course)
- One of the following two courses:
NPLD 795 Applied Leadership Workshops Series A (core elective) or
NPLD 796 Applied Leadership Workshops Series B (core elective)
Summer:
- Leadership Practicum
YEAR 2
Fall Semester:
- Two (2) of the remaining required core courses not taken in year 1

NOTES:
Part-time students will adhere to all of the program requirements on a part-time basis. The minimum course load for student is two (2) courses per semester and the maximum is three (3) courses per semester. Although completion is recommended within 2½ years, part-time students must complete the program within five (5) years from the date of acceptance into the program.
All individuals enrolled in the part-time NPL Program must be able to attend classes held during the day and late afternoon. Some courses may be offered all day Friday/Saturday and/or Saturday/Sunday for a portion of the semester.
The five (5) required core courses are NPLD 786; NPLD 787; NPLD 788; NPLD 790; and NPLD 792. The three (3) core options are NPLD 785; NPLD 795; or NPLD 796 (students select two out the three core options).
